Consultancy Service for ToT on Positive Discipline

WVI Nepal implementing the technical programme in different district using different project model, such as Child Protection and Advocacy (CP&A), Child Protection Minimum Requirement (CPMR) Channel of Hope (COH) and Community Engagement and Sponsorship Plan (CESP). Positive Disciplineis a one of the components, which are implementing in program area for long-term solutions that develop students/children own self-discipline and their life-long learning. It is about clear and consistent communication, and consistent reinforcement of your expectations, rules and limits. Positive discipline is about teaching nonviolence, empathy, self- respect, human rights, and respect for others. Through the ToT, WVI Nepal aims to equip the Staff and teachers with the approach to teaching that helps children succeed, gives them the information they need to learn, and supports their development. It respects children’s right to healthy development, protection from violence, and active participation in their learning.

The TOT on positive Discipline is expected to deliver the following component:

  • Identifying long-term goals
  • Providing warmth and structure
  • Understanding child development & engaging with children
  • Alternative ways & tools to positive discipline
  • Need of positive discipline and its linkage to the childhood development
  • Identifying individual differences
  • Problem-solving and responding with positive discipline
  • Basic-Child Right and Child Protection 
  • School + Positive discipline +Protection of children (Integration)
