Social Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) Officer

Job Purpose: The SBCC officer will be responsible for the communication and research activities of the projects assigned. 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor degree in Public Health, Communications or related field
• At least one year of experience with SBCC or health communications

Required Skills

• Excellent oral and written communication in English
• Possess excellent writing and presentation skills, editing and translating skills.
• Handle Microsoft package, social media and other relevant applications
• Work in a team of wide range of professionals: journalists, production team, operations and management team and development practitioners.
• Excellent typing skill in English and Nepali
• Display cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability

Duties and Responsibilities

•  Assist with program design, adaptation, implementation and monitoring
•  At the direction of team leader, develop, pre-test and produce communication tools.
•  Responds to the specified deliverables and goals of contracts.
•  Produce periodic reports and stories of the assigned projects.
•  Write project proposals, prepare presentations, write annual progress reports and other reporting requirements
•  Write Concept Note/Storyboard and Scripts of the communication products as required.
• Ensure effective communications with the contact persons of the projects assigned as a focal person representing the company.
