Consultant to lead an analytical learning piece on partnerships to deliver municipal-wide inclusive WASH

WaterAid is an international non-governmental organisation focused on improving people’s access to safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation in developing countries. WaterAid Nepal has been in operation since 1987. Our work spans across 22 districts around Nepal and is based on a programmatic approach to ensure delivery of safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation services while promoting people’s rights to water and sanitation and encouraging accountability across the sector. WaterAid Nepal is a part of the global WaterAid family, established in 1981 and active in 37 countries worldwide. 

One of the major projects of WaterAid Nepal is the Beacon Project which is a unique long-term partnership between the UK water company – Anglian Water and its Alliances (AWA) through its philanthropic support, WaterAid, Nepal Water Supply Corporation (NWSC) and Lahan Municipality, to achieve sustainable municipality-wide safe water and sanitation services. The project seeks to strengthen the capacity and accountability, deliver sustainable solutions through effective partnerships and empower the poorest and most marginalised communities, local government and utilities and ultimately contribute to Nepal’s journey towards the SDG goals. 

WaterAid Nepal is currently seeking for a Consultant to prepare the Beacon Partnership Learning documentation. The main objective of this assignment is to produce a high-quality learning-oriented case study of the multi-stakeholder partnership at the heart of the Beacon Project. More details can be found in the Terms of Reference for this assignment.

WaterAid would like to invite Expression of Interest (EoI) from interested parties to undertake this responsibility.

Competency required: 

• Expertise on Partnership and Governance.
• Proven track-record of facilitating and preparing high-quality analytical learning documentation 
• Proficiency in written and spoken English to an advanced standard. 
• A good grasp of sector governance from federal to local level is desirable.

2. VAT registration certificate
3. Income tax clearance certificate of the current year
4. Proof of experience to prove competency in relevant field
5. Proof of previous similar work with samples and reference 
6. CV of the individual

Proposal Submission Method:

EoI(maximum four pages) should be submitted, along with the necessary documents. The EoI will need to include description of the work, full contact details, an estimated work plan and outline any relevant skills and experience (with examples) that demonstrate why the individual has the capability to undertake this assignment. Proposals may be send in PDF file via email to nepal-procurement@wateraid.org in between 10:30 am - 5 pm, by 15 January 2021.
