Call for Expression of Interest

LDC Watch invites application from competent evaluators or firms for the evaluation of its South Asia programme ‘Civil Society Campaign for the Rights over Land and Natural Resources, Social Protection and Gender Equality in South Asia’.

The purpose of this evaluation is to assess to what extent the project has been able to engage CSOs of South Asia, who fall under the direct and indirect beneficiaries group of the project. The outcome that we are intending to achieve from this project is to capacitating people’s organisations in South Asia for organising people to demand for their rights to land and natural resources, economic empowerment, gender equality, social protection, basic services and minimum wage.

Qualification

A consultant with at least 5 years of experience in evaluating international advocacy projects will carry out the evaluation. Applications of evaluation teams are welcome. He/she should be able to understand SAAPE’s values and aims as described on its webpage, www.saape.org.

Letter of Intent

The evaluator(s) should send the following documents: 

• CVs of the evaluator(s) including previous experience of evaluations done for other projects, preferably a sample of evaluation report
• Work Plan / Proposal:
  • Outline of the planned evaluation procedure
  • Short explanation and justification of the methods to be deployed
  • Complete cost estimate that includes both, the fee as well as any ancillary costs to be incurred, such as transport, accommodation, taxes, fees and costs of workshops in the scope of the evaluation etc. (evaluator should also travel to a few South Asian Countries other than Nepal (most preferably Bangladesh and India).
