Business Intelligence Engineer

Title: Business Intelligence Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with Presales, Customer Success, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to determine business data reporting and analysis requirements.
• Analyze client data using EDA and provide actionable insights to improve processes and present them using a reporting tool.
• Collaborate with engineering and business team to formulate data delivery plans and timelines.
• Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports.
• Support Database Administrators and Developers to build data warehousing systems for business intelligence, reporting and analytics.
• Assist in data administration, modelling and integration activities in data warehouse systems.
• Implement/Support business intelligence solutions and standards to achieve data reporting and analysis goals to meet business goals.
• Recommend enhancements and modifications to optimize business intelligence processes.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement external services and tools to support data validation and cleansing. 
• Provide support for ad hoc requests from the Business Users.
• Provide support for Analytics Processes monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Provide Support in creating Power Points, reports, dashboards, and models.
• Gather, understand, document, and maintain all business intelligence processes and detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Train and guide the junior engineers in data reporting and analytical skills.
• Independently determine the appropriate approach for new assignments.
• Solve a variety of atypical assignments and a range of straight forward problems. 
• Communicate proactively and effectively with team members, leads, management, and clients where necessary.
• Assist in creating a friendly, entrepreneurial and A+ corporate culture in Nepal.

Requirements: 

• Someone who is inquisitive and has great problem-solving skills.
• Should be able to see through large data facts and figures and come up with conclusion.
• Hands-on experience of building complex dashboards. 
• Experience using any of Quicksight, Tableau, PowerBI, Data Studio is mandatory. 
• Ability to write SQL queries, doing cohort analysis, comparative analysis and time-series analysis etc.
• Ability to lead own projects and work independently once given a direction. 
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Experience working directly with business users to build reports, dashboards and solving business questions with data.
• Experience of working on R/Python is a plus  

Education and Experiences: 

• Bachelor degree, preferably in Engineering, maths and related field.
• 3+ years core BI experience.
