Responsibilities for Business Development Officer

• Identify new market opportunities via market research and initiate contact.

• Create proposals for collaboration with various organisations. 

• Respond to all issues with prompt attention.

• Plan and coordinate all new startup activities. 

• Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business. 

• Create documents for MOU. 

• Apply in Startup Events / Webinars. 

• Prepare the annual marketing budget and track the expenses against the budget.

• Develop in-depth knowledge about business development practices, marketing activities, prospective clients and industry trends.

• Highly focused, self-motivated and professional, exercising discretion and confidentiality where appropriate

Qualifications for Business Development Officer

• 3+ years experience working in a development role.

• A valid driving licence with two wheeler or four wheeler. 

• Capability of prioritizing and delegating responsibilities. 

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills - both written and verbal in English & Nepali. 

• Enthusiasm, humor, empathy, and the ability to convey this through phone, email and in-person communication. People have to enjoy talking to you and you have to enjoy talking with them.

• Excellent understanding of Startups and startup funding, and strong interest in the domain of social issues & employment.

• Create proposals for existing clients to improve their business utilizing company services.

• A hunger to always learn and continuously improve. 

• Ability to travel in order to see clients, explore new markets and attend conventions

• A familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite / Google Workspace or should be a quick learner. 

• Good knowledge of writing emails in English and Nepali for best communication. 

• Good at making business plans, business model canvas, pitch decks & knowledge of fundraising.

• Positive attitude, a calm head and solution-focused, especially during challenging circumstances
