Details / requirements:

At Naxa, you will get a chance to work with technology for development planning and disaster management-related projects/initiatives for national and international organizations. We are a Geo-ICT service provider company with a focus on digital mapping, geodata collection and management, analysis, and development of geospatial applications.

As an associate project manager, you are expected to be self-motivated, organized, and proactive. You will work closely with the project manager and business analysts to plan the project's schedule, implementation timeline, and assess project risks of small to medium scale projects. The Associate project manager will directly report to the Senior Management/Project Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • In consultation with the project manager, manage small scale and medium scale projects throughout their lifecycle

  • In consultation with project manager, work collaboratively with business analyst to develop project’s schedule, milestones, implementation timeline, identify risks and develop contingency plans

  • In collaboration with the technical project lead, should be able to organize team meetings and set clear expectations for the team

  • Should track project progress, identify bottlenecks and ensure timely deliverables

  • Should regularly update the project manager on progress of the project

  • Should ensure quality assurance and control per project requirements by mobilizing a quality assurance team

  • Should Encourage, motivate and coordinate all team members for timely project deliverables delivery

  • In consultation with the senior management/project manager, should provide timely, accurate, and unbiased feedback to team members on both improvement areas and remarkable achievements/contributions



Skills and Qualifications:

  • Should have understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development

  • Should be a responsive communicator and be able to communicate effectively, both orally and written with clients/project partners, project team, and management team

  • Should be able to efficiently multitask and self-organize and be able to handle multiple projects throughout their lifecycle

  • Should be able to have an effective discussion with the project team regarding the technicalities of the project and be able to evaluate the tasks and time needed for tasks of a project

  • Should be able to scope, plan and document project timelines, milestones and deliverables

  • Should be able to identify, evaluate risks and employ mitigation strategies

  • Should be able to use the available resources and make decisions that affect the project on a regular basis



Education and Experience:

  • Should have experience working with senior management. Preferably in the IT industry.

  • Should have experience working with limited supervision and have the ability to identify and escalate bottlenecks and if needed bring it to Project Manager/Senior Management for mitigation. 

  • Should have experience communicating/estimating/implementing software requirements by effectively delegating the task to architects, designers, and developers.

  • Should have experience in project management tools such as JIRA/Trello/ClickUp

  • Bachelors in IT, Engineering, or Business with at least 1-2 years of experience in the IT industry. Preferably in a business analyst or IT project management role.

  • Should have knowledge and experience of Agile development methodologies. Certification in Scrum or other software development methodology is preferred.
