Details / requirements:

At Naxa, you will get a chance to work with technology for development planning and disaster management-related projects/initiatives for national and international organizations. We are a Geo-ICT service provider company with a focus on digital mapping, geodata collection and management, analysis, and development of geospatial applications.

As an associate business analyst, you are expected to be fond of helping to bridge the gap between clients/partner organizations and software development teams. You will work closely with clients/partner organizations, project managers and technical project lead to build and revise the System Requirement Specification and wireframes of the product. The Associate business analyst will directly report to the Senior Management/Project Manager.



Responsibilities:

  • In consultation with senior management/project manager, conduct business analysis process of small scale and medium scale projects 

  • Participate in project meetings, understand project requirements in detail, and prepare detailed software system requirement documents in close consultation with the technical project lead. 

  • In consultation with technical lead/project managers/senior management, build and revise software requirement specifications document in collaboration with clients and project partners.

  • Prepare initial wireframes based on the clients/project partners requirements

  • Use wireframes and software requirement specification documents as reference and mobilize UI/UX designer to build high-quality mockups.

  • In collaboration with the project manager, use mockups and software requirements specification documents to mobilize the project team. 

  • Prepare appropriate presentations and actively participate in meetings and presentations to propose solutions to clients/project partners.

  • Work closely with the management team and assist them to develop relevant business proposals.

  • Handle client relationship functions bridging the gap between the software development team and the client’s/project partners.

  • In consultation with senior management/project manager, Identify, research and approach potential clients. Plan client needs and initiate business development communications with potential international/national partners.

  • In consultation with the project manager /senior management execute conflict mediation strategies that might arise while building software requirements specification documents with clients/project partners.



Skills and Qualifications:

  • Should be a good verbal communicator and have the ability to run meetings. He/She should have the ability to ask insightful questions to draw out the right kind of information from clients/partners organization to build Software Requirement Specifications documents.

  • Should be able to efficiently multitask and self-organize and be able to handle the business analysis process of multiple projects concurrently.

  • Should be good at writing reports, plans, documentation. Additionally, should also work in consultation with the project manager to effectively track different revisions of the report, plans, and documentation. 

  • Should have competent negotiation skills and be able to manage client expectations. 

  • Should have a technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies



Education and Experience:

  • Should have experience working with senior management. Preferably in the IT industry.

  • Should have experience working with limited supervision and have the ability to identify and escalate bottlenecks and if needed bring it to Project Manager/Senior Management for mitigation. 

  • Should have experience identifying/documenting software requirements from clients/partners and communicating them to management, architects, designers, and developers.

  • Bachelors in IT, Engineering, or Business with at least 1-2 years of experience in the IT industry. Preferably in a business analyst or IT project management role.

  • Should have experience in software tools such as MS Office/Google Docs. Experience in Figma/Blasmic/XD is preferred.

  • Should have knowledge and experience of Agile development methodologies. Certification in Scrum or other software development methodology is preferred.
