Android Engineer

We are seeking 2 Android Developers (Immediate joiners) to join our team, who'll be responsible for enhancing our application performance.

Sagoon (Company) is incorporated in the United States, India, and Nepal - a social commerce platform, focused on gifts and coupons for socializing.

The platform has over 7 million users. Our users discover and share stories that interest them in texts, photos, and videos and earn FREE Smart Coins to shop in our partners stores.

What do you have to perform?

• Should be able to understand and work with a mockup and design tools to understand and implement UI/UX with element definitions defined on the tool.
• Writing clean and efficient codes for Android applications
• Should be proficient in consuming and parsing APIs, JSON/XML, REST technologies to provide better UI experience.
• Involved in the development process using Android framework, handling application persistence.
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks, rectifying bugs and enhancing application performance
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and design new features
• Keep updated and follow emerging trends and technologies
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency Ships feature fast-moving agile sprints.
• Works closely with Backend, Design, and Product Management teams to brainstorm and understand the details of features 

Key Requirements:

• You have prior experience as an Android Developer using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK
• You have experience in publishing an application on the Google Play store
• Proven work experience in design patterns mobile architecture using frameworks such as MVVM/MVC/MVP
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to effectively integrate Android applications
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
• Familiarity with various testing tool
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
