FHI 360 , an international NGO, is seeking highly qualified and dynamic Nepali citizen for the following positions to join its team:

1. Strategic Behavioral Communication (SBC) Specialist

SBC Specialist is responsible for leading and managing all SBC activities related to HIV related positive behavior change under FHI 360 Nepal. SBC Specialist works closely with the FHI 360 Nepal units and provides support and technical assistance to FHI 360 NGO partners, the Government of Nepal and other collaborating partners for behavior change communication in a structured, systematic and effective manner. S/he will be also responsible for:

  • Provide overall National Leadership in development of National SBC-related policy, strategy, program implementation, monitoring and evaluation and maintain strong relationships with other SBC technical leaders in Nepal.
  • Provide country office leadership for development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of FHI 360 SBC-related policies, strategies, training curriculum and program activities.
  • Ensure FHI 360 Nepal SBC strategies and prevention guidelines and activities are reflected in FHI 360 Nepal project sub-agreements and effectively implemented through timely technical assistance and regular follow up supportive supervision and monitoring..
  • Provide technical assistance to Team Leaders and Program Officers in documentation of project activities, success stories, case studies and create a repository of resources with updated SBC theory, best practices and global case studies.
  • Oversee and manage the design and development process for IEC/SBC tools and materials to meet the needs of FHI 360 Nepal IAs and project activities.
  • Keep updated on FHI 360, USAID and other donor regulations regarding production, branding, marking and documentation needed for all SBC-related work.
  • Sensitize business house on CSR and facilitate the Government partners in developing sustainable and result-oriented dialogue with the private sector.
  • Conduct ongoing background research on global and regional best practices and prepare and provide regular technical updates on cutting edge SBC practices to FHI 360 staff, Government counterparts and collaborating partners on SBC-related global issues including innovative ideas for programs.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in public health or related social science with at least three years of work experience in SBC including training and facilitation. Should have strong negotiation, coordination, communication and interpersonal skills and should be resourceful in resolving problems and initiating solutions.

Skills/Qualities:

Ability to initiate and implement activities with minimal supervision and manage high volume work flow with multiple tasks. Ability to work in teams and develop and maintain positive working relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Nepali.

2. Manager - Accounts & Grants

Manager - Accounts and Grants is responsible for managing the Accounts and Grants Section, providing advice on financial operations, budget development, financial reviews, monitoring financial accountability and ensuring full compliance with FHI 360 contracts and grants policies, procedures and systems. S/he will be also responsible for:

  • Review and finalize all budgets for subcontracts and sub grants in consultation with concerned program staff.
  • Assess financial management capability of all prospective implementing agencies (IAs) and organize orientation/trainings for IA finance staff members.
  • Develop financial monitoring tools/guidelines to monitor and analyze the financial progress of IAs and ensure timely conduct of IA financial reviews and provide financial guidance and recommendations to FHI 360 program staff and IA staff for optimum utilization of FHI 360 funds.
  • Perform the FHI 360 pre-award review for potential IAs to ensure that they have the capability to manage FHI 360 resources and comply with documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Update FHI 360 rules and regulations and oversee all documentation related to contracting including IA sub-agreements, contracts and amendments in a timely manner.
  • Review vouchers/invoices submitted to FHI 360/Nepal are in accordance with an agreement and actually delivered or performed and oversee the proper functioning of FHI 360 GFAS accounting system, web-based IA tracking system and prepare pipeline analysis report.
  • Assist FHI 360 management in preparation of country office budgets and budget proposals.
  • Oversee the timely reimbursement for FHI 360 staff salary and benefits, calculation and deposit of TDS and provident fund in accordance with policy and Nepali tax laws and reimbursements for consultants and other payments.
  • Assist in the conduct of FHI 360 internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Accounting or Business with a minimum three years of work experience or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business with a minimum five years of experience. Proven experience and performance in program budget development, grant making and grant management is required. Strong knowledge and experience with office accounting systems and experience with USAID finance and accounting procedures will be highly preferred.

Skills/Qualities:

Ability to work in teams and create collaborative team building environment. Should have strong negotiation, coordination, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure and should be fluent in English and Nepali.
