Software Engineer

Position: Software Engineer

REQUIREMENTS 

• Good communication skills in both spoken and written English.
• Skills in PHP and PHP frameworks such as Laravel, FatFree, Wordpress would be helpful.
• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Prior experience with ecommerce platform (such as Big commerce, 3D Cart, shopify, Magento ) would be preferred.
• Must have skills in CSS, JavaScript (like: jQuery, Regular Expression, Ajax) and front end frameworks. such as Knockout JS/Angular JS would be plus.
• Skills in databases/servers such as MySQL and SQL Server would be plus.
• Experience with GIT version control system would be preferred.
• Passionate about learning and self-motivated; drive to contribute ideas and share knowledge proactively; must be a team player.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be a self-starter – the right candidate will be able to train well under the tutelage of peers and mentor, and go out of his-or-her way to learn: we are the only company in Nepal currently working with this technology.
• Service installations and bug fixing/maintenance task on stores with various ecommerce platforms (Yahoo, BigCommerce, 3dCart, Magento, Volusion, MivaMerchant).
• Tracking-Code installations on eCommerce platforms.
• SEO content management on platforms (like: Yahoo, 3d-Cart, Magento, BigCommerce, Volusion, Miva Merchant).
• Reliably estimate time expectations and co-ordinate with other teams in the company for prioritization and related bugs and features.
• Excel under tight deadlines, and proactively communicate with team members and managers.

EDUCATION: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.
