The Digital Marketing Specialist reports to the VP of eCommerce and administers our social media channels to create engaging content and to support the company's online communities. Please send us your resume including your portfolio URLs & cover-letter at vacaustralia@gmail.com.

Digital Marketing Strategy and Management

  • Develop strong understanding of our businesses and clients and assist in the development and implementation of strategic, smart digital campaigns and initiatives
  • Develop and execute editorial calendar(s) across all channels, requiring heavy collaboration with other team members
  • Support management of external digital and social media support vendors; evaluate their performance and seek qualified vendors as needed
  • Act as liaison to internal and external stakeholders, e.g., agencies, brand and business owners, PR, Regulatory team and Client Services to ensure moderation efforts (and deliverables) are aligned with company needs, guidelines, requirements, and business objectives
  • Stay abreast of new technology/digital marketing trends and demonstrate how they support our businesses


Social Media

  • Evaluate and propose social media strategies leveraging and growing our presence in social channels including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube, Instagram, and other potential channels
  • Develop new methods and campaigns to engage consumers on social platforms
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of our communities across a variety of social media platforms including tweeting, updating Facebook pages, monitoring all platforms, responding to customer inquiries in a timely fashion, listening to what people are saying about our brands, and tracking social media activity using social media monitoring software; ensure design consistency on all platforms, posts, contests and promotions
  • Oversee all aspects of social content, including writing and editing content
  • Leverage both paid and organic opportunities on social sites
  • Develop and implement mechanisms that enable other contributors to maximize social media

Paid Campaigns for Multiple Websites and Product Lines

  • Work with PPC management agency to manage our search PPC campaigns, social media PPC and retargeting campaigns including strategy evaluation, keyword and campaigns generation, and optimization of current campaigns (negative keywords, ad copy testing, bid management, landing page optimization and budget management)
  • Recommend and implement landing pages to support paid search campaigns
  • Implement A/B testing on landing pages


SEO

  • Assist in creating SEO plans for multiple websites and product lines improving search engine rankings, website conversions, and organic search traffic within all major search engines
  • Continuously create, categorize, research, and refine keyword portfolios to drive incremental traffic and conversions for SEO, SEM, websites, emails, and social media campaigns
  • Develop relationships and generate new inbound links from high-authority websites
  • Stay current with Google algorithm changes, SEO best practices and trends to maintain and/or improve search engine rankings for all brands
  • Use Webmaster tools to identify and correct any problems affecting or potentially affecting our organic search rankings


Content Marketing

  • Research and understand business objectives to identify content opportunities and recommend strategies, interactions, and approaches
  • Build and manage an editorial calendar that aligns with business goals and drive yourself and other contributors to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Generate and oversee a content matrix for all content assets within digital platforms; come up with creative ways to repackage existing and new content (blog posts, e-books, white papers, Slideshare, video clips, mini infographics, etc.)
  • Assist in managing the distribution of content through various channels including social media, website, blog, email, and others
  • Write original content and edit existing content to target different audiences; collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts, designers, product marketing, sales, executive leadership and others to produce impactful content
  • Provide level-of-effort and time estimates for content deliverables
  • Apply SEO best practices around content (videos, press releases, website, infographics, blogs, etc.)
  • Conceptualize and create visual content such as infographics and assist in the production of video content
  • Oversee monitoring of user generated content (reviews, comments, photos, etc.)
  • Measure and analyze content performance; maintain strong knowledge of the industry and content marketing best practices to continually deliver fresh and engaging content


Analytics, Reports & Presentations

  • Establish benchmarks, surface metrics, and work with marketing analysts to deliver dashboards and reports that measure the effectiveness of social media platforms and initiatives, moderation performance, insights, trends, and optimization recommendations (in conjunction with social media monitoring technology)
  • Create quarterly and annual reports and presentations on all digital marketing initiatives including organic search rankings, paid search metrics, newsletters campaigns, social media performance, ROI, etc.


Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 2-3 years current experience in digital and social media marketing and community management
  • Strong and current understanding of online, digital and social media marketing concepts and strategies
  • Inbound Marketing experience including Paid Advertisement, SEO, social media, and content marketing
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and technologies such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, blogging, and RSS feeds, among others
  • Customer Service/Social Care experience and the ability to communicate on social platforms in a consistent, on-brand voice
  • Excellent written/oral communication, presentation, editing, and copywriting skills; great grammar and obsessive spell-checker
  • Experience with analytics tools on platforms like Google, Facebook, LinkedIn & social listening tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with a strong background in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Blogger Outreach knowledge a plus
  • Experience with Marketing Automation, Mobile Marketing and Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign or other creative content software experience a plus
  • Must possess an analytical mind and interest in using data to optimize strategy and tactics
  • Technically savvy, strong curiosity and a desire to learn are qualities valued
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven team environment that requires constant change and adaptability
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts
  • Strong relationship management skills, including vendors, agencies and a range of internal stakeholders
