Centre for Mental Health and Counselling – Nepal (CMC-Nepal), an NGO working in mental health and psychosocial approach, is inviting applications for the following position in Child Mental Health Programme (CMHP).  

Post: School Mental Health Supervisor (full-time) for Gorkha and Rasuwa districts.

NO. OF REQUIREMENT: 1

This position is responsible for implementation, supervision and monitoring of comprehensive school counselling piloting programme, implemented in Gorkha and Rasuwa districts in collaboration with Department of Education and concerned District Education Offices. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master degree in Psychology or Social Work or Education
  • At least three years of teaching experiences in government school as a secondary teacher  or three years of work experience with children and parents in public services or in NGO
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in training facilitation, and communication, experience in psychosocial approach working with teacher, children and parents will be an added asset 
  • Familiar and experience with classroom based psychosocial intervention and individual psychosocial support to the children
  • Having experience in data/information collection, documentation and report writing skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization
  • Coordinating and networking skills.

Incumbent is required to work pro-actively in a team and independently in achieving CMHP goals. S/he should have good hands-on experience in organizational management, communication, networking and problem-solving and working under pressure with multiple tasks.

Duration of the contract until December 2017 with possible extension
