Prepare Local Disaster and Climate Resilience Plan
This call for Proposal is solicit consultancy support service from qualified service provider (consultancy firms) to prepare Disaster and Climate Resilience plans for 3 rural municipalities and 2 urban municipalities. This assignment is part of BURDAN: Building Resilience to Disaster by Promoting and Main streaming Disaster Risk Management and Resilience Initiatives in Earthquake Affected Communities Project. This project is being implemented in Dhading and Kavrepalanchok Districts.
BURDAN is a DRR project designed referring to the priorities of Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR) to promote resiliency of the disaster affected communities through Disaster Risk Reduction and capacity building of local authorities, schools and local communities of the project implementing areas in the two Districts. The 18 months Project aims to build capacity of the local authorities, schools and advocate DRM at the district and national level.
The project has three local implementing partners namely Nangshal Association Nepal in Kavre, Rural Mutual Development (RMD) in Dhading and National Disaster Risk Reduction Centre (NDRC) Nepal in national level.
The Specific Objectives of the assignment are;
- Preparation of Local Disaster and Climate Resilience Plan (LDCRP) in Siddhalek and Tripurasundari Rural Municipalities and Neelkanth Municipality based on LDCRP guidelines in Dhading.
- Preparation of Local Disaster and Climate Resilience Plan (LDCRP) in Bhumlu Rural Municipality and NamobuddhaMunicipality based on LDCRP guidelines in Kavre.
The intended deliverables through the assignment are;
- LDCRP for two municipalities and three Rural municipalities (English and translated in Nepali) along with all necessary annexes such as ward level VCA reports.
Interested consultancy firms, who meet the above requirements should apply by submitting their Proposal (not more than 10 pages excluding annexes). It is expected that the service provider has read well and understood the Objective, Scope of Work, proposal evaluation criterion and requirements for proposal submission. The closing date for application is 5th March 2017.
