Nepal Public Health Foundation (NPHF) was established in April 2010 with a mission to have concerted public health action, research, and policy dialogue for health development, particularly of the socio-economically marginalized population. NPHF has a vision to ensure health as the right and responsibility of the Nepali people with its focus on major public health issues such as Health Policy and Systems, Human Resource, Communicable Disease, Non-Communicable Disease, Malnutrition etc. Nepal Public Health Foundation (NPHF) is committed to improve health system, generating quality evidences for policy formulation process through high quality survey and operational research.

Details / requirements:

Nepal Public Health Foundation (NPHF) is going to implement two and half year project “Farming, Health and Environment Nepal Project (FHEN 2017-19)” in collaboration with the Danish NGO ICOEPH/DASAM and DIALOGOS through funding from Danish Civil Society in Development (CISU) from September 01, 2017. NPHF is seeking highly qualified and dynamic Nepali citizens for the following positions:

Position: Project Manager 

Reports to: Project Coordinator (Central)

Duty Station: Chitwan

Job Responsibilities

The Project Manager will have the overall responsibility for the overall management of project based on Chitwan. S/he will work in closed coordination with the Project team for the project implementation, achieving project deliverables. S/he will conduct a baseline and follow up questionnaire survey among health professionals’/he will have to develop monitoring and supervision framework to be carried field activities. Reactivation and strengthen District Advisory Committee (DAC) with participation of relevant Government, NGOs and other as appropriate to the Project requirement for coordination.

Required Qualification

  • Master in Public Health (MPH) with experience in research and project management 

Skills and Experience

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in team 
  • Ability to coordination with district level stakeholders
  • Ability to work  in high pressure with dependently 
  • Able to work well in a high pressure environment
  • Proficient skills in reviewing literature and writing report
  • Fluent in English and Nepali (both speaking and writing)
  • Critical  conceptual thinking and analytical skills

Salary: As per NPHF’s financial rules 

Duration: 2.5 year
