Position: Project Manager

Job Description:

 

  • Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission -specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, organisation process and organizational planning.
  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR, IT and Finance), through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between employee and board.
  • Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
  • Oversee overall planning, systems and controls.
  • Fundraising and focus on sustainability of the projects of FFLN

 

1)      Management responsibilities

 

a)      Line manage FFLN Project Coordinators

b)      Be the point of contact for all staff in for grievances, allocation of tasks, or liaising between staff and the Director and Board Members.

c)      Staff Management and Development

 

 

2)      Reporting

 

a) Project Manager will report directly to the Director and Board Members.

b) A line manager will be allocated who the Project  Manager should liaise with for human resources related matters including arranging annual leave, performance reviews, training and development, grievances, and sickness

 

3)      Communications

 

a)      To write reports with updates on monthly basis.

b)      To ensure the Director and Board Members are kept fully informed of any developments or incidents that require urgent attention as they happen.

c)      To document all the meetings/procedures that involve FFLN

 

       Overall responsibilities of Project  Manager:

1)      Advise on operational policies pertaining to project implementation and management.

2)      Produce project performance reports on quarterly basis.

3)      Recruit and manage staff, including performance monitoring, and possibly mentoring and training.

4)      To coordinate with local authorities and government bodies when required.

5)      Deliver presentations at conferences or any donor events.

6)      To build a relationships with different organisations and donors.

7)      To prepare documents for the call for Concept Notes for different organisations.

8)      To do research on potential donors and identify funding opportunities.

9)      Motivate communities to involve in projects.

10)  Proposal writing, delivering presentations at conference or any donor events.

11)  Organising events for fundraising and awareness.
