AMDA-Nepal announces the vacancy of the following positions from qualified candidates for its UNHCR supported Primary Health Care Project for Bhutanese Refugees, Damak, Jhapa. PROJECT DIRECTOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROJECT DIRECTOR: To manage and provide a dynamic leadership role for the total management of project activities at the field level to ensure the development of strategies and achievement of the programme goals/objectives. To maintain smooth working relationship and coordination with the government agencies, donor agencies, implementing partners and all stakeholders taking refugee right/interest at the front. To supervise and provide on the site supportive monitoring of the overall PHCP activities as well as to the administrative management. To control and manage all the financial and non-financial resources of the project at its field office. To prepare and submit the periodic reports to the line manager, donor and other stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS: Advance medical degree (MD, MPH, PHD or equivalent) with minimum five years experience in managing (design, develop and implement) projects. Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills Logical planning and problem-solving skills Good report writing and computer skills] Experience working in refugee or emergency setting will be an advantage HEALTH COORDINATOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HEALTH COORDINATOR: To manage and provide dynamic managerial role for the management and supervision of health and nutrition activities under the general guidance of the Project Director. To maintain a dynamic team spirit among the staff and smooth working relationship with the government agencies, donor agencies, implementing partners and all stakeholders. To supervise a large number of technical staff and place them in their appropriate workplace with adequate knowledge and skill to provide basic curative and community health services to the refugees in an efficient and accountable manner. To develop plans, strategies and operational guidelines for the effective delivery of health and nutrition services. To take overall lead in carrying out study/survey and disseminating report amongst relevant parties. QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree, preferably PhD in medical science and registered in Nepal Medical Council. At least three years experience in the field of project management at the managerial level.
