Backward Society Education (BASE) is a leading NGO officially registered in 1991 in Dang with DAO and SWC. BASE has been working in the field of renewable energy ,  education  livelihood support , child labor elimination , women empowerment , income generation , support for sustainable democracy , human rights violation monitoring, conflict mitigation , water and sanitation , environmental sustainability , disaster preparedness and response ,infrastructure support , protection and promotion of traditional  indigenous culture and support for children associated with armed forces and armed groups as well as increasingly working with beneficiaries from other marginalized communities.

BASE intents to recruit qualified and experienced Nepalese female citizen for the following position:

Post: Project Coordinator (1)

Duration: 12 months with posibility of extension

Project: Strengthening Implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Nepal: Towards Implementation of National Action Plan on UNSCRs 1325 and 1820

Working Districts: Kailali

Major Responsibilities:

  • She will be responsible for overall project management
  • Project planning, implementation, monitoring and supervision
  • Work with district and VDC level intra partywomen network and VDC level conflict affected women and girls
  • Develop and update the project plan and personal monthly working plan focusing on annual plan
  • Prepare periodic, half-yearly and annual progress reports and plan and submit it in time frame in English
  • Provide technical support to the field staffs as per project requirement and ensure service delivery to actual beneficiaries 

Qualification Requirement:

  • Graduate in Rural Development, Sociology, Social Work, priority will be given to LLB 

Experience Requirement:

  • A minimum of two years of work experience on implementing programs based on women right  preferably in NGO/INGOs;
  • Experience in qualitative reporting with proper data analysis;
  • IT literate (word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation)
  • Self-motivation, creativity and an ability to perform without close supervision etc.
  • Proficient in reading, writing and speaking in English
