Backward Society Education (BASE) is a leading NGO officially registered in 1991 in Dang with DAO and SWC. BASE has been working in the field of renewable energy,  education  livelihood support, child labor elimination, women empowerment, income generation, support for sustainable democracy, human rights violation monitoring, conflict mitigation, water and sanitation, environmental sustainability, disaster preparedness and response, infrastructure support, protection and promotion of traditional indigenous culture and support for children associated with armed forces and armed groups as well as increasingly working with beneficiaries from other marginalized communities.

BASE has been implementing Livelihood Recovery & DRR project in Bardiya district with aim Primary Livelihoods of communities are rebuilt/recovered. BASE intents to recruit qualified and experienced Nepali citizen for the following position.

Position: Project Coordinator (PC) No.- 1 

Duty station: Bardiya district

Required qualification and experience: 

• Graduate in B.Sc. Agriculture with two years experience of managing a similar project.
• Should have a experience in flood recovery program related with agriculture, livestock and Disaster Risk Reduction
• Should have well known about the disaster risk reduction approach
• Develop terms of references and concept notes and deal independently with consultants to ensure implementation of proposed activities as per M&E requirement
• Good skills in documentation, monitoring, communication, analysis and facilitation.
• Sensitivity to community and gender contexts
• Coordinate with district level stakeholders and  likeminded agencies
• Fluent in English and Nepali (both written and spoken)
• Ability to work independently and with a solution oriented attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good computer skill in MS Excel and MS word.
