Aasaman Nepal (ASN) with the vision of happy and healthy children is currently working in 16 districts of Nepal, irrespective of geographical location. Dedicated to children's education, health and rights, ASN works in various developmental themes; Health and nutrition, education, child protection, natural resource management, livelihood, and humanitarian response.

Details / requirements:

Aasaman Nepal is a NGO, working in the area of Education, Health, Natural Resource Management and livelihood and Child Protection since its establishment in 1999. Aasaman Nepal in partnership with Welthungerhilife (WHH), is implementing nutrition component of ILMC (Improving the livelihoods of Marginalized groups) Program in  8 different VDCs of Salyan district (2016-2018).

Aasaman Nepal is looking for experienced and highly qualified Nepali candidate to apply for the Project Coordinator based in Salyan with frequent intra/inter filed mobilization. The Project  Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and effective implementation of the nutrition component of the program. 

Post:-  Project Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Tactful coordination with government’s district and local level stakeholders and CSOs working in the nutrition of the district.
  • Facilitate Nutrition Associates in screening of malnourished case (SAM, MAM) from the community and its management through conducting NERP for MAM and referring SAM children to NRH. 
  • Faciliate and technically support to conduct Nutrition Education Rehiblitation Program (NERP), LANN (Linking Agriculture with Natural Resource Management and Nutrition) and Positive Deviance (PD) in the project targeted  communities.
  • Recording and timely reporting of every activity to the donor agency.
  • Maintain cordial relationship with effective staff management.
  • Regular and timely supportive monitoring to the programmed VDCs.
  • Command on financial and human resource management.
  • Proactively participate in project planning meetings and meetings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Actively representation and participate workshops/meetings. 
  • Prepare quarterly project progress and finance report.
  • Carry out any other activities as assigned by the management team.

Required qualification: 

  • Master in public health (MPH) with at least 4 years of experience in relevant working areas.
  • Excellent Reporting and communication skill in English and Nepali. 
  • Having knowledge on NERP, LANN and PD.
  • Worked in consortium having effective coordination skill and human resource management.
