Project Coordinator/Finance Officer

VSO Nepal has worked in Nepal since 1964 to improve the lives of impoverished people in some of the country’s poorest districts, particularly focusing on vulnerable women and girls and other marginalised groups. 

VSO Nepal is currently implementing International Citizen Service (ICS) along with Health, Secure Livelihoods and Education programmes with Gender and Climate Change as cross-cutting themes.

International Citizen Service (ICS) is a youth interaction programme for 18-25 year olds funded by the UK government and led by VSO.  Groups of young people from the UK will join a group of young people from Nepal, to live, learn together and support community based development projects. Through living and working alongside communities, ICS youth gain firsthand knowledge and experience of good practice in development work and are in turn able to make practical and meaningful contributions to the communities which they are supporting.  They return to their home communities motivated to play a part in local and global action.

VSO Nepal is looking for substantially experienced and highly qualified candidates to apply for the following positions:

Project Coordinator(ICS): Number of Vacancies: Total 4 (2 in Baglung, 1 in Lamjung and 1 in Country Office) 

Based in project implementation areas, reporting to the Youth Programme Manager, the person is responsible for effective delivery of ICS project in the district.

Major Responsibilities of this post include volunteer, programme/partnership and budget management,facilitating learning, reporting, monitoring and evaluation of the project.  

You must have master degree in a relevant subject or bachelor degree with at least 3-4 years relevant experience. Your proven experience of working  cross-culturally, managing youth volunteer and report writing is a must.

Finance Officer (ICS):Number of vacancy: 1

Based in its country office in Kathmandu, reporting to the Finance Manager, the person is responsible for smooth functioning of the finance and administrative operations of ICS projects in Nepal.   

Major Responsibilities of this post include payment, accounting, reporting and liaising with relevant stakeholders. 

You must have bachelor degree in a relevant subject with at least 3-4 years relevant experiences.
