VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

A Chitwan based non-governmental organization committed for empowerment of poor, marginalized and weaker sections of society including Chepang community is looking for some potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following positions:

 

Project Coordinator (1)

The Project Coordinator will be responsible to manage the project focusing on empowerment of Chepang women of Chitwan district for strengthening their capacities and facilitate the process of inclusive local governance. S/he will lead the project and work in collaboration with local government and concerned stakeholders. S/he will be responsible for building capacity of team members and project stakeholders for ensuring effective implementation of the project.

Terms and Location: Two years based in Chitwan with frequent field visits

Required Qualification: At least Masters degree in development studies or relevant field with minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills: The position holder should have excellent knowledge of women empowerment, gender equality and social inclusion, advocacy and program management. S/he should have good experience in budget management, monitoring, evaluation, and report writing in English. S/he should have strong communication and interpersonal skill along with the competency of partnering and collaboration with local government agencies, civil soceity and other stakeholders. Capacity in research and study will be an additional value for this position.

 

Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (1)

The Learning Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is responsible for establishing the monitoring and evaluation system within the project and analyzing and preparing timely reports. S/he will be responsible in developing progress reports and learning documents. S/he will supervise project interventions as well as update the progress in web portals in periodic manner.

Terms and Location: Two years based in Chitwan with frequent field visits

Required Qualification: At least Bachelor’s Degree in development studies or relevant field with minimum of 2 years of working experience in development sector

Required Knowledge and Skills: The position holders should have excellent skill of monitoring, evaluation and reporting. S/he should have experience in baseline and evaluation, monitoring and data collection. Communication and media partnership skills will be an additional benefit. A strong command over English and Nepali language and good knowledge of MS office are preferred.
