Hilly Rural Development Organization Northern Morang (HRDON), a non-governmental organization, was established by the former VDC chairperson in the respective constituencies in the year 1999. The strength of HRDON lies on resource sharing approach adopted since its establishment to execute infrastructure development activities in the remote hills of northern Morang in partnership with District Development Committee and other stakeholders. For the last five years, HRDON has been able to receive fund from organizations such as District Development Fund and Member of Parliament Fund. It has also started working with the youths to raise awareness on HIV/AIDS. Since most of the villages in northern Morang are highly conflict-affected area with many casualties and losses, HRDON is addressing this issue with facilitation of grass root peace building activities such as psychosocial and trauma healing etc. Furthermore, it has been helping to improve the economical status of the conflict victims through small income generating process.

The Hilly Rural Development Organization Northern Morang (HRDON) is a is a non-profit non-governmental organisation committed to improve socio economical status of rural people through girls and women empowerment, livelihood promotion, institutional capacity building, and environment protection in Morang district

HRDON is implementing "Girls Power Project (GPP)" in partnership with Plan Nepal in 11 northern hill VDCs of Morang District. The program focuses to contribute towards socio-economic empowerment of girls, women and families of poorest of the poor households. Subject to availability of funding, this vacancy announcement is placed for the following posts of competent staff:

Position: Project Accountant/admin assistant-1

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial report in accounting software and submit on time. 
  • Day-to-day maintenance of the project account as per program budget and financial guidelines. 
  • Support procurement committee and staffs to follow the financial guidelines 
  • Support Project Coordinator for daily personal and project administrative works
  • Day to day Maintenance of project files and documents, assets record, stock books, inventories, ledgers, personal files etc.  
  • Prepare weekly and monthly budget forecasting and submit to project coordinator. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Management related subjects with at least five years working experience in development project.
  • Able to work fast under pressure and meet deadlines. 
  • Good book keeping, financial planning, English reporting and office management skills
  • High positive and learning attitude
