Program Officer
Details / requirements:
World Education, Inc an International NGO working with disadvantaged communities and vulnerable population, seeks highly motivated and qualified candidate for USAID funded Project, Combating Trafficking in Persons (CTIP). This is a Kathmandu based position involving frequent (40%) field visits.
Position: Program Officer
The Program Officer shall work under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator. She/he will be responsible for the management and coordination of field level program activities with partner organization and stakeholders to ensure a strong comprehensive program.
Main Responsibilities
- Support partner organization in preparing and planning implementation strategies and program activities and budget;
- Monitor program activities in the assigned districts to ensure smooth implementation on timely basis, consistency, quality and effectiveness;
- Liaison with district level government line agencies and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination;
- Technically backstop PNGOs and government line agencies in training activities that need to be implemented at the district-level;
- Prepare quarterly report, trip reports and annual reports;
- Maintain and file important documents and correspondence related to the program activities of the assigned districts;
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor;
Qualification and experience
Bachelor Degree, with minimum three years work experience or Masters Degree with at least two years of relevant experience.
Other Skills
- Able to work in team and help other members relevant to your projects.
- Ability to prioritize and be able to take own initiative, be proactive and independent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Nepali language
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS) office package
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate ability to train and build capacity of implementing partners.
