Program Officer

ChildFund Japan is an international non-profit development organization which has a legal entity in Nepal and has been working for children in Sindhupalchowk and Ramechhap districts in partnership with local NGOs. It is looking for a competent Nepalese citizen for the following positions.

Program Officer – (1) post, Kathmandu based

General Objectives of this position:

The main objective of this job holder is to conduct regular project monitoring and provide technical assistance to the partner NGO staff in the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the supported project.

Required qualification:

• Bachelor degree in sociology, rural development, or other related fields. Master degree is advantage
• Experience in community development work, with diverse knowledge of technical program areas - education, child protection, livelihood, health/nutrition, etc.
• Experience in designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluating projects
• At least 3 years relevant working experience in INGO/NGO

• Good interpersonal skills, adaptable, a team player
• Good communication skills, verbal and written as well as active and good listener
• Proficiency in Nepali, other local dialect an advantage

• Capable to drive motorcycle and have valid license
