JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc is seeking applications for the following position for the Chlorexidine Navi Care Program (CNCP), a three year project from October 2014 to September 2017. Chlorhexidine Navi Care Program is supporting the Government of Nepal's (GoN) intention to reduce neonatal mortality. CNCP is supporting to implement Chlorhexidine (CHX) cord care program in the different districts of Nepal. JSI/CNCP has announced vacancy for the post of Program Officer/M&E, a full-time position (1.0 of FTE) based in Kathmandu, Nepal with frequent field visits in the program districts. S/he will ensure proper implementation of CNCP M&E plan, write reports, provide feedback to district staff, ensure data quality, support in study design and provide information to the project management team. Coordinate for the program implementation at district and center level.

 

Job responsibilities:

 

Ø  Assist in implementation of project Monitoring and Evaluation Plan

Ø  Review and revised recording and reporting tools as per need

Ø  Ensure data quality

Ø  Collect, compile, synthesize and write monthly and annual report

Ø  Analyze and share monitoring data and HMIS service statistics

Ø  Participate in research/assessment through plan, budget, concept paper development, review of terms of references, data collection, compilation, analysis and report

Ø  Coordinate with government, partner agencies and collect monitoring data to provide feedback and program status

Ø  Introduce mobile technology in project monitoring and evaluation

Ø  Document success stories, case study and project implementation approach

 

Qualifications/Experiences:

 

Ø  Master in public health or statistics or demography  or other related field

Ø  Experience in similar types of organization

Ø  3 years experience in M&E and research of health programs

Ø  Familiarity with key MNCH program interventions and related indicators

Ø  Knowledge of database software such as SPSS, STATA, R, EXCEL, ACCESS etc.

Ø  Good report and proposal writing skills

Ø  Excellent written and spoken English
