Job Description

We’re looking for an ambitious DevOps Engineer to join our 13 people team. The UXCam infrastructure currently processes 100’es of request per second on over 20 EC2 instances making this an interesting and challenging opportunity. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an engineer who can help as our traffic multiplies.

You will be responsible to manage vast array of AWS services (EC2, S3, ELB, Elastic BeanStalk, Cloudformation, Auto-scaling, Auto-deployment), configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef), MongoDB server deployment, monitoring and benchmarking ensuring the 24x7 availability,  performance, scalability and security of productions systems

Being part of a startup, you will be involved in all stages of a project and have the opportunity to contribute throughout and help us make the right technical decisions.

You should be able to learn new technologies quickly, stay ahead of trends, can troubleshoot problems, and have an excellent understanding of best practices and keep a keen eye on future trends.

Skills and Requirements

• Knowledge in AWS and  Google Compute Engine.

• Knowledge in Linux sysadmin and shell scripting skills.

• Good understanding of HTTP, Networking and VPC configuration.

• Strong problem solving skills and ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues

• Server monitoring and benchmarking

Nice to have

• Experience with security features on AWS, Google Cloud Platform

• Scripting (e.g. Python) and automation skills.

• Knowledge in configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

• Have been in a client-facing role and have project experience in working with teams as well as under your own initiative
