Nyaya Health Nepal, a Nepal-based NGO, improves healthcare for underserved communities in Nepal, in partnership with the Ministry of Health. Our integrated healthcare approach involves two teaching hospitals, a professionalized community health worker network, and strategic use of data and technology to connect patient records from hospital to home. Our more than 250 staff provide integrated care from home to hospital to over 200,000 community members, provide over 100,000 hospital visits, and conduct over 5,000 surgical procedures annually.

Possible is seeking an entrepreneurial People Operations Associate to advance our management systems and organizational culture in Dolakha District, Nepal.

Management Structure:

Reports to: Senior People Operations Manager

Direct Reports: None

Department: People Operations

Location: Dolakha

Big 3 Responsibilities:

  1. Support Possible’s management and performance systems.
  2. Serve as the focal person for all team members within the district for People Operations functions and initiatives. 
  3. Drive administrative functions of People Operations in the district.

 

Areas of Responsibility (AoR):

The People Operations Associate will work closely with our People Operations Manager and be chiefly responsible for the following work:

1. Offer Possible’s management and performance systems.

  • Promote the effective utilization of Asana, Objectives & Key Results (OKRs), 1:1s, BambooHR, and other staples of Possible’s management system.
  • Support the People Operations Team in executing Performance@Possible
  • Identify target areas for additional training / support and suggest solutions.
  • Carry out on-boarding and off boarding of incoming/outgoing team members
  • Support in crafting and conducting high-quality, professional, branded presentations on our work.

2. Serve as the focal person for all team members within the district for People Operations functions and initiatives.

  • Act as the first point of contact for all district-based team members on their questions, concerns, requests, grievance and other people operations-related matters. Escalate to People Operations Manager when required.
  • Assist team members with work issues, career development, and personal development.
  • Take initiative to solve problems with other team directly, involving the People Operations Manager when additional support is needed.
  • Specialize in how to most effectively support that team’s particular recruitment, management, and performance needs. 

3Drive administrative functions of People Operations.

  •  Maintain flawlessly employee records system including maintenance of personal file both in digital and physical form.
  • Track and maintain attendance, leave, use of benefits including travel and healthcare, and other employee records.
  • Support People Operation Manager in Monthly payroll processing.
  • Support People Operations Manager in recruitment process.

The above list of responsibilities is not comprehensive, and the People Operations Associate may be required to take on additional responsibilities, as determined by the People Operations Manager.

Location:

You will spend 100% time in rural Dolakha District, Nepal.

Must-haves:

  • Deep understanding of, and commitment to, Possible’s work culture and mission
  • At least 1 years of relevant experience in HR, preferably in rural locations. 
  • Bachelor degree.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Nepali and English.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet programs.
