Helen Keller International (HKI) /Nepal, an international non-profit organization (INGO) works to improve the sight and lives of the vulnerable by combatting the causes and consequences of blindness, poor health and malnutrition through public health approaches, building the capacity of organizations, and contributing to policy changes through systems strengthening and operations research. HKI/Nepal's nutrition is the largest portfolio.

Details / requirements:

HKI is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the sight and lives of the worlds vulnerable by combatting the causes and consequences of blindness, poor health and malnutrition. HKI is implementing the Suaahara II Good Nutrition Program (SP2), a 5-year, USAID-funded program aimed at improving the nutritional status of women and children in forty under-served rural districts of Nepal. 

In the context of SP2, HKI has an internship program for Nepalese nationals with the aim to provide an on-site learning program for building the capacity of young people, particularly those from marginalized and disadvantaged group and for those who are differently abled—visually, hearing or physically—who are seeking opportunities to gain work experience and skills in the development field.  Under the internship program, HKI is seeking applications from qualified, energetic and self- motivated Nepalese citizens to work as interns for a period of six months in the following areas/fields.

The period of internship will be for six months.Interns will be paid a monthly stipendduring the duration of the Internship as per HKI policy. Only short-listed candidates will be contacted for an interview and written examination.
