Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

Chemonics seeks a Monitoring and EvaluationSpecialist for the anticipated USAID Nepal Public Financial Management Strengthening Project. This five-year program is expected to enhance the capacity of targeted government of Nepal (GON) ministries and agencies to improve transparency and accountability of public financial management systems. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
Leading in conducting project monitoring and evaluation activities, including knowledge management.
Qualifications:
1. Candidates must have a master’s degree in relevant subject with at least five years practical experience in monitoring and evaluation field preferably with international agencies
2. Candidates must have at least five years’ experience with causal model development, monitoring, impact assessment, data collection methods, and evaluation of developmental projects using a variety of methodologies, monitoring and management information systems in developing countries.
3. Familiarity with USAID policies and procedures, Operational Plan indicators, as well as the relevant technical areas, is desired.
4. Candidates must have a deep understanding of government procurement functions in different sectors with a considerable knowledge of budget execution issues.
5. Candidates must demonstrate excellent skills in written and oral communication, management and analysis, as well as knowledge of sustainable and effective project management in English and Nepali languages
6. Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
