Merchandising Executive
Job Description:
Ø To enable the brand to attain market and product leadership position across categories – both men and women – viz competition in the domestic apparel market
Ø To understand the market dynamics, style, preferences, fits, price points, usage occasions etc and recommend a range architecture for each category as per targeted COGS so as to achieve more than 50% share of readymade western wear apparel market
Ø To understand manufacturing capabilities in Nepal which in turn will input into the Range Architecture based on past data, consumer needs, competition, forecasted trends (basis design concept & mills network), margin targets etc
Ø To examine various fabrics suppliers of stock lots actively assist in selection process as per annual buying plan
Ø To work closely with factory and vendor to develop prototypes, get feedback from market and input into APP finalization
Ø To audit product manufacturing processes in line with quality manuals / laid down quality process
Ø To be able to identify and build long- term partnerships with the right vendors from India/ Abroad which meet the quality, cost and time parameters
Ø To play an integral part along with Retail/ Sales team to showcase the range to the trade
Ø To create training material and manuals
Job Specification:
Ø Bachelors in Marketing with 1-2 years of working experience in fabrics and garment merchandising
Ø Strong technical knowledge in fabrics (yarns / knitted / woven) manufacturing and garment production are essential.
Ø Knowledge of pricing Raw Material
Ø Knowledge about the clothing trends
Ø Knowledge on the costing of raw materials
Ø Strong analytical skill
Ø Negotiation skills
Ø Communication skills
Ø Influencing skills
Ø Computing skills
