Resource Management and Rural Empowerment Center (REMREC); a leading sub-national non-governmental organization invites applications from qualified Nepali nationals to hire immediately for the following positions to work in livelihoods and sanitation sector.

Job Title: Livelihoods Officer-1 (Kavre based)

REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management or Economics or Agriculture, or Rural Development or Sociology or Development Studies from  a recognized university with at least 2  years of working experiences in relevant field (MSME, livelihood and income generation activities) or Masters’ degree in above field with 1 year working experiences.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Good understanding of livelihood development
  • Extensive knowledge on Income generation activities, Micro Enterprise Creation and Development training, able to prepare business plan
  • Financial sector experience with business orientation as well as knowledge of renewable energy will be an added advantage
  • Good command in written and spoken English and Nepali;
  • Ability to represent and interact independently with GoN and non–GoN, private sectors and other stakeholders relevant to the programme
  • Result and target oriented with demonstrable working experience as a good team player.

Job Title: WASH Officer-1 (Okhaldhunga based)

REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor Degree (preferably in public health, development studies, B.Ed. Health) with 2 years of work experience in WASH sector.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge and experience on demand-led and participatory development approach in WASH sector.
  • Skill in coordination with DWASH-CC, V-WASH-CC, local authorities, I/NGOs and other stakeholders
  • Sound knowledge on health, hygiene and sanitation
  • Community mobilization and motivation skill
  • Skill on training delivery and behavioral change facilitation on health hygiene and sanitation.
  • Sensitivity towards the issues of GESI.
  • Knowledge and skill on documentation, reporting and presentation.
  • Basic knowledge on sanitation & hygiene master plan.
  • Basic knowledge on CLTS and SLTS
