From The American People - Internship Program At USAID/Nepal USAID/Nepal announces internship opportunity for interested and qualified individuate from Dalit and disadvantaged communities for a nine months internship program in the following areas: Health And Family Planning Office Intern: POSITION SUMMARY: The overall objective of the internship is for the incumbent to gain an understanding of the public health profession and health development issues from a donor perspective, and to prepare him or herself for employment or further education in the field of public health. The USAID sponsored HFP Intern will be based at the Health Office within the Mission. The incumbent reports directly to the HFP Mentor for matters relating to the internship program. General Development Office Intern-Economic Growth Team: POSITION SUMMARY: The General Development Office Intern will be part of the Economic Growth team and will engage in learning USAID/Nepal supported development assistance activities in Nepal from donor perspective. The Intern should be highly motivated individual who is interested in development field and wishes to continue further education or seek employment opportunity in this sector upon completion of Internship program. The General Development Office includes development sector of Economic Growth, Food Security, Natural Resources and Environment. The Intern will report directly to the designated mentor from the General Development office during the nine months internship program. General Development Office Intern-Democracy & Governance And Conflict Mitigaiton Teams: POSITION SUMMARY: The Democracy and Governance Office Intern will be part of the Democracy and Governance team and will engage in learning USAID/Nepal supported development assistance activities in this sector from donor perspective. The Intern should be highly motivated individual who is interested in development field particularly in Democracy and Governance sectors and wishes to continue further education or seek employment opportunity in this sector upon completion of Internship program. The Democracy and Governance Office includes activities in Rule of Law, Human Trafficking, Conflict and Governance sectors. The Intern will report directly to the designated mentor during the nine months internship program. Front Office/Executive Office Intern: POSITION SUMMARY: The USAID sponsored Front office/EXO Intern will be housed at the Front Office and the Executive Office within the HR division, Communication and records and Contracting Office. The Front Office/EXO Intern will engage in Front office support and administrative support functions and reports directly to the designated Front Office and EXO mentor on matters relating to the program. Outreach And Communications Intern-Program Office: POSITION SUMMARY: The Outreach and Communication Intern will support USAID/Nepal to achieve its objectives by supporting coordination, outreach and communication with internal and external stakeholders to increase understanding and recognition of USG foreign assistance in Nepal. The Intern will assist in collecting and assembling materials and information about the Mission's foreign assistance programs and also support responses to information requests. The Outreach and Communication Intern will report directly to the designated Program and Project Development Office Mentor and will collaborate closely with all USAID technical teams in the implementation of the Mission's overall communications strategy.
