Immersion Course on State, Society and Governance
Nepal Madhesh Foundation (NEMAF) offers a 5 full-day "Immersion Course on State, Society and Governance" that aims at strengthening critical mass of civil society actors in Nepal.
The topics of the course will be: Cultural Theory Approach to State, Society and Governance; Nationality, State and Governance; Multiculturalism and Nepal; Federalism: Practice and Future; Water Management and Disaster in Madhesh; Governance in Madhesh; Structure and Characteristics of State; Women Participation in Local Governance; Generating Research Motivation; and Writing for General Communication.
The course will be conducted in 2 sessions daily from 3 to 7 June 2018 at Lalitpur and the course will run from 10:00 to 17:00 hrs sharp. Nominal fees will be charged for the materials provided during the course.
Eligibility: Applicants should have at least a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, and students preparing for a Master degree thesis will be given high priority. Thus, admission process is highly selective and only those applicants who are capable of handling the rigorous coursework will be selected. Moderately good command of English language is necessary.
