JOB TITLE: Human Resource Officer

LOCATION:  Sindhupalchowk

SALARY: According to the Organizations Rules

JOB PURPOSE: HR Officer under the direct supervision of Project Coordinator and technical guidance of Oxfam HR team shall be responsible for managing the overall HR functions of Oxfam funded& GMSP“Nepal Earthquake Recovery Program” activities so as to accomplish the objective of the project.

Staff reporting to this post: 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide administrative support in recruitment and ensure that the recruitments take place on time and organization standards have been applied for such practices/processes
  • Ensure all recruitments are well planned prior to closing date and managers are aware of their commitment for such recruits and what support they need from HR
  • Ensure all interview plan, communication to candidates, and invitation of panel members and booking of interview rooms are done on time.
  • Ensure that all employment contract templates are updated, in line with the local labour law and organization’s policy
  • Maintain and update personal files for all staff and ensure minimum standards are met (contracts, staff's personal information, leave etc)
  • Provide support in issuing offer letters and contracts. 
  • Effective co-ordination of the leaver’s process, ensuring that staffs has exit interviews, final payments are agreed and processed, equipment returned etc.
  • Ensure that all HR filing is managed in a speedy and accurate manner.
  • Effective and timely monitoring of dates relating to Probationary Periods, and end of contracts etc
  • Ensure that absence (including annual leave and sick leave) is proactively managed
  • Ensure that all HR forms are updated, stored and properly communicated to all staff and advise them on what form to use and how to use it (PF, CIT, Bank A/c)

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE: 

  • Master degree in Management with 1 years of relevant experience& Bachelor’s degree in Management with 3 Years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent organisational abilities with ability to work to deadlines and manage time well.
  • Skills in tenacity and patience.
  • Excellent team member with experience of working in small teams.
  • Strong interpersonal awareness including diplomacy, tact, being able to get on well with others and respect for confidentiality.
  • Good communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Ability to understand the principles of employment practice and law.
  • Computer skills – Word, Excel, use of the Internet, databases and email.
  • A strong commitment to Diversity issues, Equal Opportunities and capacity building.
