The Group imports ceramic sanitary ware, bathroom vanities, bathroom accessories, hardware, power tools & abrasives, CP Fittings, Gas Geysers, Welding Machines and Water pumps in its home brand name “SCHON”. Currently SCHON brand ceramic sanitary ware and water pumps are gaining great popularity in the mid-price segment market. The brand has been able to carve a niche for itself within a short span of 5 years. Some of the reasons for its success are: - The company maintains healthy stock levels and has extensive warehousing infrastructure which is an edge over its competitors. - The company’s extensive distribution network throughout the country. - Efficient sales team and collection team for effective sales & timely payment collection. - Rich experience of the promoters in the trading business. - Good after sales service through its experienced plumbers - Group support for sales from other construction related companies in the group like Kepy Cement Industries P Ltd for the right sales leads.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Post : Head- Marketing

Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Marketing or a related field required.

  • 7-8yrs. + years of experience in marketing in a Pvt. Ltd Company. ( Preferablyin 1 or 2 Trading company)
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills& desire to exceed expectations
  • Proficiency with email & MS office applications specially MS Word and MS Excel for efficient reporting to management.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of management & external parties to maximize sales performance.
  • Matured and preferably married of age 33+ willing to settle / already settled in Kathmandu with no intentions to relocate outside Kathmandu or abroad in the future.
  • Ability to coordinate the efforts of a large team of diverse creative employees and also develop the team with fresh marketing recruits, to increase productivity and profits of the company.
  • Familiarity and skill with the tools of the trade in marketing including PR, written communication, website development, market research, product packaging, Microsoft software suite of products, visual communication software products, and creative services are a PLUS.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Will be responsible for Key sales accounts and selling goods and ensuring timely payment collection on telephone and field visits.
  • Will supervise, manage a professional team of subordinates and demonstrate teamwork skills.
  • Experience working in a flexible, employee empowering work environment. Structured or large company experience will not work here.
  • Will be managing external PR and communication consulting firms and contractors.
  • Researching and evaluating new product opportunities, demand for potential products, and customer needs and insights.
  • Overall marketing strategy and execution of plans for the existing products.
  • Working with product development teams to manage new product development.
  • Managing launch campaigns, distribution channels and marketing communications including the company website, print communication, and advertising and analyse the effectiveness of all these efforts

Team Management

  • Must have leadership qualities to manage a team and be responsible for its actions.
  • Motivating the team from time to time and training the team to do their work efficiently and responsibly.
  • Must be willing to stay for a long period of time with the company and grow with the company rather than short term.

  • Must possess leadership quality and treat fellow employees with dignity
  • Must be will to work overtime depending on work pressure.
  • Must be able toshare his opinions with the management regarding the growth of the organization and realizing company’s vision & goal.
  • Must keep all the company’s information secret, if the management feels any information was leaked by him to outsiders or within unintended internal stakeholders then the management has the complete right to penalize him financially, legally or both.
  • The company holds the right to increase the salary or keep the same salary depending on the performance of the candidate. The candidate cannot ask for any increment in the middle of the financial year except after TIHAR holidays.

Other specific requirements:

  • Candidate should have his own two wheeler with valid driving license.
  • Must take complete ownership of the work assigned to him and his team
  • Must submit periodic and accurate reports to the management indicating the sales performance of the company
  • Must be honest in dealing with cash 
  • Must be effective and tight in collection and should ensure timely collection of the debtors within the time frame specified by the company.

Salary

  • Salary : Negotiable (depending on the competency and the work experience of the candidate plus the responsibilities the candidate is willing to accept )
  • 12 Months’ salary per annum + 1 month Dashain Bonus
  • No system of Advance
  • No system of Leave other than Saturday. Must also be present on Saturdays if the work demands or if management wishes.
  • Must be dedicated to be present in the office on strikes and bandhs , must manage to travel to office even if the public transport is not functioning.
