Details / requirements:

HKI/Nepal is working to improve the nutritional status of women and young children through evidence based research and programs. Helen Keller International (HKI), CARE, FHI 360, Nepali Technical Assistance Group (NTAG), Equal Access Nepal (EAN), Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO), Vijaya Resource development Centre (VDRC) is implementing USAID funded Suaahara II Program (SP II) in 40 districts, applications are invited from interested, committed, dynamic team players and experienced Nepali nationals for the following position:

Finance & Operations Officer (Field Based)

Discription

  • This position is responsible for financial management at district level. Provide assistance for day to day field operations. Provide logistic support for program & staff. Intensive support to capacitate the PNGO’s in the field of management.
  • Accounting for all financial incoming and outgoing financial transactions at the HKI/N District Office and management and channeling of funds through partners.
  • Forecast (liquidation plan) and request cash transfers from Kathmandu to ensure adequate supply of funds in the District. Participate in establishing procedures and forms for request and the issue of funds for program needs.
  • Support partner NGO and reviews their system and train/coach them for the improving their financial management and capacity building. 
  • Review and finalize partner NGO monthly financial reports.
  • Manage and respond to ALL audit activities. 
  • Produce Monthly Financial Reports according to established procedures and submit a soft copy and hard copy within given dates of the every month. Produce segregated finance records on the request of the DC or Kathmandu office; such as expenses for specific sectors, locations or grants

Qualifiation

  • Bachelor Degree and minimum 3 years of experience in related field with I/NGOs

Experience

  • Familiar with FAMAS accounting software will be an added value.
  • Familiar with financial & administrative management and internal control system
  • Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Word & Excel, Power point)
