Details / requirements:

SEBAC-Nepal, a leading NGO working in the WASH sector, has been implementing two five-year projects titled ‘Safe-WASH II’ and ‘Saafa Paani’ supported by the USAID. The projects are designed to contribute towards the well-being of rural communities of Nepal through improved water, sanitation and hygiene practices. In this regard, SEBAC invites application for the following positions from interested, eligible, and result oriented Nepalese citizens who are reliable, accountable, have an ability to deliver results

JOB TITLE: Finance and Procurement Manager (FPM)

CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed Term (up to 3years)

DUTY STATION: Kathmandu

PROJECT: Saafa Paani

NO OF POSITION: 1

Key responsibilities:

  • The FPM will be responsible for the establishment and oversight of sound financial policies, procedures and financial management. S/he will be primarily responsible for adherence to audit recommendations and correcting audit findings and to establish and maintain required financial conditions precedent prior to commencement of program activities. S/he will prepare financial plan and reports as per the project requirements and regularly update and report to Chief of Party regarding financial status. 
  • S/he will manage the fund, sign voucher, monitor and ensure efficient budget handling and cross check all financial matter of the Saafa Paani project. 

Required qualification and experiences:

  • The FPM must have master degree in accounting, finance or management field, preferred Chartered Accountant with at least five years of work experiences in similar position. The incumbent will also have knowledge in MS Office applications and accounting software. S/he will be based in Kathmandu Office and monitor and supervise accounting system for Saafa Paani account and admin team.

DUTY STATION: Dhangadi, Kailali

PROJECT: Safe-WASH II

NO OF POSITION: 1

Key responsibilities:

  • The FM will be responsible for the establishment and oversight of sound financial policies and procedures and financial management. S/he will be primarily responsible for adherence to audit recommendations and correcting audit findings and to establish and maintain required financial conditions precedent prior to commencement of program activities. S/he will prepared financial reports as per the project requirements and regularly update and report to Chief of Party regarding financial status. 
  • S/he will manage the fund, sign voucher, monitor and ensure efficient budget handling and cross check all financial matter of the Safe-WASH II project. 

Required qualification and experiences:

  • The FM will have a minimum of Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or management field, preferred Master degree with at least five years of work experiences in similar position. The incumbent will also have working knowledge in MS Office applications and accounting software. S/he will be based in Regional Office Dhangadi, Kailali
