Office Manager, Jevaia Oral Health Care

Jevaia Oral Health Care has been operating since 2006 (formerly known as Kaski Oral Health Care Project) in collaboration with Jevaia International (formerly known as Eva Nepal).  The project establishes sustainable, community-based dental care and prevention in rural areas.  Currently JOHC is actively operating in six VDCs, with graduated programs in four others.  

The Office Manager is the primary point of contact for Jevaia office, and is responsible for administrative and financial systems in an office of four staff members and approximately 25 part-time field staff. The position requires a background in finance and accounting, a high degree of organization, and excellent written and spoken communication skills in Nepali and English, and a friendly and personable demeanor.

Responsibilities include:

  • Staff Jevaia’s front office, phone, and primary email address.
  • Maintain filing for all financial systems and conduct a monthly closing in collaboration with Program Director and Auditor.
  • Maintain filing for all internal reports and administrative systems, such as work plans, travel orders, attendance, inventory, payroll, etc.
  • Maintain an online Google calendar and help coordinate scheduling, including field and office activities.
  • Oversee procurement of medical and office supplies, and general maintenance of office space.
  • Support the Program Director in communicating with local, national and international partners. 
  • Support field staff in completing and submitting project reports.
  • Maintain a media database of filed photos, videos, and reports.
  • Skills in social media and/or web design highly preferred.

Please note that while this is an office management position with primary hours from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, Sunday – Friday, there will be certain off-hour and Saturday requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with project accounting and financial tracking software.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrated experience working as part of a team in an office.
  • Excellent skills with email, internet, MS Word and MS Excel.  Additional computer skills (PowerPoint, media, social media, and web) preferred.

Education: Degree in accounting, management, or public administration is preferred. However candidates with a strong project management background will also be considered.

Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, internet, and ability to learn Xero (accounting software) are required.  

Contract details:

  • Initial two-year commitment required
  • Based in Pokhara
