Center for Research on Environment Health and Population Activities (CREHPA) is a private, not-for-profit research organization based at Kathmandu, Nepal. It is registered under Society’s Act 2034, HMG as a non-governmental organization (NGO). It is also registered with the Social Welfare Council (SWC), Nepal.

CREHPA is looking for vibrant personalities who desire to work as Field Supervisors and Field Researchers to conduct a study on adolescents’ girls and boys in Rautahat and Parsa districts.

JOB OBJECTIVES 

The main objective of this project is to build evidence for multi-sectorial, integrated and convergent approach in two high child marriage prevalence districts of Nepal (Rautahat and Parsa). 

Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Project Leader / Manager, the Field Supervisor will be responsible for conducting a research to conduct baseline study among adolescents’ and community stakeholders and support on the dayâ€toâ€day works related to research and assessment, whereas the Field Researchers will assist Field Supervisors on conducting the overall study.

As a Field Supervisor, your major duties and responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Attend intensive orientation training organized by CREHPA at Parsa. 
  • Pre-test of research instruments
  • Prepare household listing and use assigned sampling technique for selection of households for interviews
  • Lead the field team and supervise date collection\observe data collection work to ensure that only eligible candidates are interviewed
  • Data collection
  • Conduct random checks/cross verification on completed questionnaires and ensure full safety of the completed questionnaires

As a Field Researcher, your major duties and responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Attend intensive orientation training organized by CREHPA at Parsa.
  • Assist Field Supervisor in household listing and sampling.
  • Administer the research instruments/questionnaires at sampled households.
  • Comply with ethical aspects including safety and confidentiality of the interviewees.
  • Work together as a team and under the guidance Field Supervisor and Research Officer.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Medical Anthropology, Public Health, Health Economics, Population Studies, Statistics or Other Development Related Discipline.

Skills & Experience:

For Field Supervisors

  • Previous fieldwork experience in data collection preferably in quantitative research and has the experience of supervising and leading the research related activities in the field.
  • Ability to manage Field Researchers in the field and reassure quality data collection.
  • Good writing and oral skills in Nepali, Local language and English. 
  • Nepali Citizen
  • Technological friendly i.e.: using tablets and mobile application.

For Field Researchers

  • Previous fieldwork experience in data collection preferably in quantitative research.
  • Ability for quality data collection.
  • Good writing and oral skills in Nepali and Local language. 
  • Nepali Citizen
  • Technological friendly i.e.: using tablets and mobile application.
