Transcultural Psychosocial Organization Nepal (TPO Nepal) is a leading NGO, established in 2005, working on psychosocial and mental health research, intervention design and implementation, capacity building and service provision. The organization announces following vacancies opening for qualified Nepali nationals to conduct a Mental Health and Psychosocial Need Assessment.

Job Title: Field Research Assistant

Required No.: 4 (fourteen earthquake affected districts)

Duration: four months     

Starting Date: ASAP

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assist in development and finalization research instruments
  • Assist in translation of research instruments
  • Data collection by using both qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Data coding, editing and data entry

Required qualifications, knowledge and experiences

  • At least  Bachelor degree in public health, psychology , social science and other related field
  • Good understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Good communication skill in Nepali
  • Ability to travel remote areas of the districts
  • At least one years of working experience in related field
  • Preference will be given to those having experience in psychosocial/mental health research
