Rural Development Tuki Association (RDTA), is a pioneering community based developmental organization established in 1991 in Dolakha. RDTA gained its legal status with registration under Government of Nepal, District Administrative Office, Dolakha in 1991. It is registered in Social Welfare Council and affiliated with NGO Federation of Nepal as well. RDTA is a union of Tukis spread throughout the Dolakha district. Tuki is a community based model leader farmer who is empowered on various social developmental phenomenons and can disseminate what s/he has learned in the community. So, Tukis are agencies for pioneering knowledge dissemination and community development.There are Tukis in almost every village of the district. RDTA aims to uplift the living standard of poor and marginalized peoples. It is determined to give momentum to sustainable community development initiative through good governance, community empowerment, sustainable resource mobilization and institutional development.

Rural Development Tuki Association, conceptually founded in 1977 and officially registered in 1991 in District Administration Office Dolakha, is a nonprofit making, non-governmental organization. From its inception it has been working with different development partners especially focused in Dolakha along with Sindhupalchok and Ramechhap districts of Nepal. Currently, it is implementing Suaahara (Good Nutrition) Project in only municipality and all the 51 VDCs of the Dolakha district. This five-year (2011– 2016) integrated nutrition program, is funded by USAID/Save the Children. Suaahara aims in Building Strong and Smart Families, uniquely integrating nutrition, hygiene & sanitation, agriculture, family planning, reproductive health, and child and maternal health activities at household and community level. 

Rural Development Tuki Association is seeking qualified and dynamic Nepali citizen for the following position. 

JOB POSITION: Field Coordinator (Suaahara) - 1 position

LOCATION: Based in Charikot , Dolakha  with frequent field visits (60%)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Field Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the project in Dolakha district with the technical support of Suaahara District Office and senior team of RDTA. S/he will be responsible for timely planning, reporting and coordination with District Development Committee (DDC), District Health Office (DHO) and other stakeholders.  S/he will work closely with all stakeholders for planning, implementation, supervision and monitoring by organizing different meeting, orientation, training, joint monitoring and supervisions visits and other relevant activities of Suaahara in the district. S/he will be responsible for ensuring quality and timely implementation of field activities and providing onsite coaching support to Field Supervisors, Data Management Officer (DMO) and Agriculture Technical Assistant (ATA) of Suaahara Project. S/he will conduct regular supportive supervision and monitoring of the field level activities and support other members of the team to prepare plan and produce, submit reports, collect and document important case studies/stories periodically. 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

Candidates should be of Bachelor Degree in Public Health, Sociology, Social Work, Development Studies or any other relevant disciplines with at least 2 years of substantial experience in managerial capacity/relevant post.  Preference will be given to the candidates having prior work experience in maternal and child health & nutrition sectors. Understanding of National Nutrition Policy, health and nutrition developmental interventions, and Hygiene and Sanitation issues will be an added advantage. In addition, preference will be given to the candidate/s having commitment to work at least for two years in RDTA. Moreover, preference will be given for those who had completed Master Degree in stipulated subjects.

SKILLS/QUALITIES: 

Should be proactive and be able to perform multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision. The candidate should have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and should have good knowledge on computer programs and excellent command in oral and written English.  S/he should be self-motivated having positive attitudes towards the community development. Should have proven skills in staff management and social mobilization.
