Expression of Interest 

The project entitled `Up-scaling the production and consumption of bio-energy to reduce carbon emissions and enhance local employment in Nepal` is being implemented jointly by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation and 4 other partners namely International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN); Asia Network for Sustainable Agriculture and Bio resources (ANSAB); Sustainable Technology Adaptive Research and Implementation Centre, Nepal (STARIC/N); and Winrock International in 11 districts namely; Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kavreplanchowk, Sindhupalchowk, Dhadhing, Nuwakot, Banke, Bardiya, Kailali and Kanchanpur districts from January 2014. The Overall objective of the project is to contribute to national goal of poverty reduction through up-scaling the production and industrial consumption of bio-energy, thereby generating 10,500 green jobsin local level and reducing carbon emissions.

Bio-energy Project aims to procure consultancy service from service provider/consultant for the Piloting of Charcoal Densification Technology. The interested consultant/firms are requested to send their EOI along with technical and financial proposal to the below mentioned address as soon as possible but no later than 4th August, 2015. Documents sent after the deadline will not be included in the screening process. The detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) can be downloaded from the project website www.bioenergy.org.np.
