CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

Instruction for Application

This Section details instruction for application for the Service Provider to undertake various consultancy services for KIRDARC Nepal. This information package consists of four Sections. Section 1 is Call for Expression of Interest (EoI) that outlines number of tasks and process of service provider selection. Section 2 is Brief information about service provider and Description of Tasks. Section 3 is Relevant Experiences and List of Clients of Service Provide to the Service Applied. Section 4 is required documents to be submitted by Service Provider. Section 5 terms and conditions from Service Providers. We request the interested applicants to read the instructions carefully.

The deadline for submission of the EoI is on June 26, 2017. The selection process will include the short listing of Service Provider based on the demonstrated past experiences and supporting documents submitted in the EOI. The shortlisted Service Provider will then be contacted and will be provided Terms of Reference (ToR) to submit the full Quotation/ Proposal. 

The Service Provider can apply for more than one Service. Please refer to the following sections for more information. For Section 2, please tick the service you can provide. For Section 3, please List the detail of service you have been providing to different clients, Client name and duration of service provided. The applicant should submit each section as a complete package for each Service applied. Please note that KIRDARC Nepal will not entertain telephone calls regarding Expression of Interest (EoI). 

Section 1: Call for Expression of Interest (EoI)

KIRDARC Nepal in the support of Mission East Nepal has been implementing the project; Rooting out Poverty; Rights and Opportunity for Women in Karnali (SABAL) in Kalikot district (Kheen and Dhaulagoha VDCs). This project aims to increase the income of women by increasing their access to vocational skills and small scale economic opportunities like micro enterprises. 

In this regards, the project has planned to conduct vocational and entrepreneurship development trainings to the selected members of women groups in already identified trades. The task of consultant is to provide onsite (entrepreneurship development) and or off-site (vocational trainings) based on needs at Kalikot district.

Karnali Integrated Rural Development and Research Centre (KIRDARC) is seeking Expression of Interest (EoI) from interested Service Providers for different consultancy services. The selection process will include short listing of Service Provider based on the required document submitted in the EoI. The shortlisted Service Provider will then be contacted and will be provided Terms of Reference (TOR) to submit the full proposal. The deadline for submission of the EoI is on June 26, 2017.The service providers should clearly mention the name of Consultancy Service Listed Below in which they are interested. 

List of Consultancy Services

1. Entrepreneurship development training for total  250 participants

2. Vocational training for total 250 participants that includes; 

• Goat/Sheep farming – 50 Participants
• Vegetable (cabbage, palungo, radish, cultivation, potato) -  40 Participants
• Improved Poultry – 50 Participants 
• Potato and bean farming and packaging – 30 Participants
• Bee keeping – 30 Participants
• Sisno drying and powder making – 30 Participants
• Tailoring – 20 Participant

Hard copy of the Expression of Interest (EoI) must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the subject line mentioning "Expression of Interest (EoI) for (respective service applied for)" and should be delivered to KIRDARC Nepal Office at the following address:
