Background

Child Watabaran Center Nepal (CWCN) is non- profitable organization and is working on Prevention, Rescue, Rehabilitation and Reintegration of street children and children from difficult circumstances since 2002.

Job Description

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of the CWCN, and monitoring the implementation of the strategies and activities undertaken by the CWCN Executive Committee.

The Executive Director’s tasks include, but are not limited to:  providing organizational support for the meetings of the Executive committee; developing and maintaining relations with CWCN partners and stakeholders, represent CWCN at national and international level; reporting to donors and government bodies, serving as a conduit for communication between the CWCN staff and Executive committee, planning of organization strategy, look for new partners; managing the financial and administrative aspects of the CWCN day-to-day functioning.

Education & Professional Qualifications:

  • University degree in Social work/management or relevant field

Experience

  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working at or before at anon profit organization in similar position.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Excellent drafting skills for reporting, press releases, and letters (Both English and Nepali).
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Experience with budget planning and account management is desirable.
  • High level of competency with computer software (MS Office) and online applications and services.
  • Ability to manage multiple and diverse tasks under tight time constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and in a respectful manner on a team, including with persons from different backgrounds.
  • Experience working with children from a different back groundis desirable.
  • Driving License

Languages

Fluency in English and Nepali is essential. Knowledge of the other language is desirable.

Geographic / Travel

Must be based in Kathmandu area but willing to travel in field and remote locations relocate to the area.
