Job Description

Director of Operations primary mission is to lead overall software development activities at the facility by guiding, mentoring and overseeing the Development, Business Analysis, Project Management and Quality Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and supervise the software development process at the facility, setting short-term objectives and assessing progress.

  • Ensure the consistency and maintainability of important versions of the application, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing and managing solutions.

  • Direct and prioritizes the work load of the resources by coordinating with the offshore team.

  • Manage and perform compensation administration, performance review of the resources/team by working with the Human Resources, conduct interviews and makes recommendations for new hires.

  • Contribute to the company expansion objective by forming new departments (i.e. R&D), new facility (development site in India) and implementing training by partnering with third party (academic/training institutes) to bring quality resource in the company.  Contribute to the growth of the existing teams by implementing effective process.

  • Assess the opportunity, options and advise to improve existing infrastructure to support the team growth.

  •  Contribute to generating presence and brand awareness locally by identifying opportunities, planning, advising and monitoring the effort.

  • Work with Project Managers to ensure that the stakeholders, project teams understand the end goal of a project and how are we going to be there.

  • Work with senior management and offshore teams to get the best performance from staff.

       Desirable:

  • Master’s Degree from a reputed university

  • Project management Skills

  • Technical background with knowledge of software development process and lifecycles.
