CRS Nepal

CRS is an international NGO based in the United States that works in over 100 countries to promote human development by responding to major emergencies, fighting diseases, poverty, and nurturing peaceful and just societies. CRS started its operational presence in Nepal in response to the 2015 earthquake, providing immediate emergency response in multiple districts and earthquake recovery support. CRS Nepal has been coordinating the reconstruction through the leadership of the National Housing and Settlements Resiliency Platform (NHSRP), formally known as Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP) since March 2017 to provide technical and information management support to relevant national, provincial and local governments. Similarly, CRS expanded its programming to other disasters responses (Lamjung, Jajarkot) in country as well as other sectors, namely Livelihoods, DRR and Climate Change. CRS Nepal is also implementing a USAID-financed livelihood technical assistance program, Farmer to Farmer (F2F), in Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

CRS was founded in 1943 in the USA, and works in over 100 countries to help the poor and disadvantaged. In Nepal CRS has a long-term commitment to provide high quality assistance to help vulnerable groups recover from the earthquakes of 2015, to develop their livelihoods and to rebuild safer homes. 

Applicants for the positions listed below must be Nepalese citizens with excellent written and spoken English and Nepali. A detailed job description for each position can be obtained from the CRS Human Resources Office at HRNepal@crs.org

Deputy Finance Manager (Kathmandu): Oversee all activities that ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and documentation of the Finance Department’s accounting operations and financial reporting. Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration. Qualification in accounting (CPA/ACCA or equivalent) required. Minimum of 7 years experience in a position with similar responsibilities, preferably with an INGO. Substantial budgeting, budget/expense analysis, and accounting experience. Knowledge of the relevant public donors’ regulations and of local taxation and regulatory reporting procedures. Knowledge of SunSystems financial accounting package or similar financial reporting software preferred.
