POSITION: Database Programmer

BASED AT: Business Intelligence Solutions, Kumaripati, Lalitpur

REPORTS TO: Project Manager

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a Data Support Manager to primarily look into three major work areas: database administration, reporting and analytics. You will be undertaking the task of curating and maintaining existing user databases, and creating new ones as per the projects’demands. Also, you will play a supportive role in creating relevant reports from existing databases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build database systems of high availability and quality
• Design and implement database in accordance to end users’ information needs
• Define users and enable data distribution to the right user in a timely manner
• Minimize database downtime/manage parameters to provide fast query responses
• Perform tests/evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
• Create relevant database reports as per user needs
• Draft database and modules’ reports as per the set business requirements
• Create advanced reports using various analytics tools and programming libraries
• Work with statistical analysis tools to create advanced reporting templates

KEY SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Business Intelligence solution
• Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
• Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
• Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
• Good understanding of MVC framework
• Adept with reporting tools like RML and WebKit
• Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
• Should be a quick as well as flexible learner
• Strong team and communication skills
• Good grasp of concepts related to object-relational mapping (ORM) is an added plus point

QUALIFICATIONS/BACKGROUND:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, B.I.T., B.C.A. or any relevant technical discipline
• Prior experience with database administration and/or analytics/reporting is a plus point

NOTE:

Candidates are expected to be comfortable with office timing that usually ranges from 9:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M.
