Database Administrator

Smart Data Solutions (SDS) is a 17 year old United States - based corporation. We specialize in providing health care payers and networks with front-end medical claims processing services and EDI solutions. We are looking for few highly motivated, organized professional Database Administrator (MySQL/Percona) positions in our Nepal office Software Development House Nepal (SDHN).

Job Specification:

• Experience in SQL administration
• Strong SQL language skills
• Experience in performance tuning
• SQL certifications
• Willingness to learn & teach others
• Strong English language skills

Job Description:

• Reviewing slow query logs and performance schema logs
• Identifying/correcting inefficient, unindexed, and otherwise inefficient queries
• Identifying/correcting caching opportunities within our existing system
• Identifying/correcting inefficient network usage (e.g. unused data being queried)

Educational Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with technologies listed in previous sections

Other Job Requirements:

• IT experience
• Availability to work nights and weekends if necessary
• Must be able to work on Holidays to take care of urgent tasks
• Ability to work independently
