Data Engineer

TITILE: DATA ENGINEER

An individual will be responsible to design, implement and monitor complex databases, and to strengthen the architecture of solutions working on existing business intelligence stack.

REQUIREMENT:

• Comprehensive understanding of computer software, database programming, and database internals
• Experience with data modelling – experience with design and development of data warehouses preferred
• Working knowledge of a variety of Ecommerce platforms preferred (Amazon, Magento, Yahoo!, Google Shopping, Shopify, and more), and ability to create specific libraries using API's to extract, load and manipulate data
• Wide-ranging programming language experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell, C#, TSQL, MYSQL, PHP and more), comfortable with adhoc scripting and automation, and familiar with design patterns with an object-oriented mindset
• Ability to increase the capabilities of ETL layer data operation for extraction from heterogeneous data sources, transforming data as per the business requirement, and loading enterprise DW
• Excellent communication skills in English and Nepali
• Willingness to work off-hours preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide technical guidance in software design and development activities
• Process both structured and unstructured data in a way that is useful for analysis
• Must increase the capabilities of ETL layer of data operation for extracting data from heterogeneous data sources, transforming data as per the business requirement and load enterprise DW
• Should provide support in all phases of SDLC and ensure to deliver high-quality products
• Support business decisions with ad-hoc data analysis as needed
• Work on data modelling, design and development of DW
• Work closely with data team to integrate your amazing innovations and algorithms to our production systems
• Collaborate with data science research team on creating and evolving data formats to be flexible for scalable technology platforms
• Provide database support to include creating databases, triggers, queries and reports in collaboration with other systems engineers and software developers
• Additional responsibilities include creating and implementing security policies, configuring and maintaining database replication including clusters, conducting daily backups, importing/exporting data to other systems, reporting, monitoring, troubleshooting
• Communicate proactively and effectively with team members, leads, management, and clients where necessary

EDUCATION: Minimum: B.E Computer Science or equivalent

EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience in above mentioned domain would be preferred and favorable
